Instructions
In a small bowl, activate the yeast by combining the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and lemon zest. Make a well in the center and add the frothy yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.
Mix until the dough starts to come together. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out into a rectangle (approximately 12x18 inches).
Sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the dough. Starting from the longer side, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased baking dish. Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.
Once the rolls are done baking, allow them to cool slightly before drizzling with the lemon glaze.
Notes
Serve warm on a beautiful platter, and garnish with lemon zest or fresh blueberries for a pop of color.
