Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt, pepper, and dried oregano. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes and minced garlic. Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Toss to coat.
Spread the tomato mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
Layer slices of fresh mozzarella cheese over the tomatoes and chicken.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the baking dish from the oven and drizzle balsamic glaze over the cheesy chicken and tomatoes.
Sprinkle the chopped fresh basil on top for a burst of flavor and freshness.
Let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
