optionalchopped peanuts or chocolate shavings for topping
Instructions
Prepare the Pan: Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides to help lift the fudge out later.
Melt Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
Mix Peanut Butter: In a separate mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until fully combined and smooth.
Combine Mixtures: Pour the melted chocolate into the peanut butter mixture. Stir until the chocolate and peanut butter are completely blended. The mixture should be thick and pliable.
Spread in Pan: Scoop the fudge mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it evenly and smooth the surface.
Add Toppings (Optional): If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts or chocolate shavings on top of the fudge for added texture and visual appeal.
Chill: Place the fudge in the refrigerator for about 2 hours, or until firm.
Slice and Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into bite-sized squares and enjoy!
Notes
Serve the fudge squares on a decorative plate or in a treat box, maybe with a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for an extra touch!
