Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to the package instructions, but substitute 1 cup of milk with eggnog. Add ground nutmeg and cinnamon to the batter for added flavor.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then use a skewer or fork to poke holes evenly across the cake.
In a small bowl, mix the sweetened condensed milk with an additional 1/2 cup of eggnog. Pour this mixture over the warm cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
In another bowl, beat the whipped cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and continue to beat until combined. Fold in the whipped topping until smooth.
Spread the whipped topping mixture over the cake, covering it evenly.
Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to set and allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, sprinkle the top with additional ground nutmeg and cinnamon for garnish.
