1/2cupchopped nuts (walnuts or almonds) - optional
as neededamountadditional chocolate chips or swirl for topping (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Pan: Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal later.
Melt the Chocolate: In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and half of the sweetened condensed milk (1/2 cup). Stir continuously until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for flavor.
Make the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix together the remaining peanut butter, the other half of the sweetened condensed milk (1/2 cup), 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined and creamy.
Layer the Fudge: Pour about half of the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Next, add the peanut butter mixture on top of the chocolate layer and spread it evenly. Finally, dollop the remaining chocolate mixture on top.
Swirl It: Using a toothpick or a skewer, gently swirl the layers together for a beautiful marbled effect. Be careful not to mix too deeply, as you want to see the distinct layers.
Add Nuts (Optional): If using, sprinkle the chopped nuts over the top of the fudge for added texture and crunch.
Chill: Refrigerate the fudge for at least 3 hours or until set.
Cut & Serve: Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang. Cut into squares or rectangles as desired.
Notes
Serve the fudge squares on a whimsical plate, drizzling some melted chocolate or peanut butter sauce on top, and add a few whole nuts for garnish.
