Ingredients

2 cups hash browns (frozen or freshly grated)

1/4 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

6 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)

1/2 cup diced bell peppers (various colors)

1/2 cup chopped fresh spinach

1/4 cup chopped green onions

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Prepare the Hash Brown Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the hash browns, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the hash browns are evenly coated.

Form the Crust: Press the hash brown mixture firmly into a greased 9-inch pie dish or quiche pan, ensuring the bottom and sides are even. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Prepare the Filling: While the crust is baking, in a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and nutmeg until fully combined. Stir in the cheese, diced bell peppers, chopped spinach, and green onions.

Combine and Pour: Once the hash brown crust has finished baking, take it out of the oven. Carefully pour the egg mixture into the crust over the crispy hash browns.

Bake the Quiche: Return the quiche to the oven and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until the egg is set and the top is lightly golden.

Cool and Serve: Allow the quiche to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps it set further.

                Prep Time: 20 mins | Total Time: 1 hr | Servings: 6

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the quiche warm, garnished with additional chopped green onions or a sprinkle of fresh herbs. A side of mixed greens dressed lightly with olive oil and lemon vinaigrette would complement the dish beautifully.
